Super Serve Day

On February 12, members from Community Church of Joy, Peace Lutheran, New Life Community Church, Vineyard Church and Community of Grace Lutheran joined with the City of Peoria and City of Glendale in a super-sized Serve Day. Thousands of volunteers were dispatched into the community to feed the homeless, pick citrus for the food bank, renovate and paint a trailer home, clean-up and re-landscape parks, pack food at the food bank, knit and crochet baby hats and lap blankets, play and sing with residents at care centers, build a Habitat home, hike a mountain to raise money for cancer, and help the public library prepare for their annual book sale. It was an amazing day of sharing God's love in tangible ways with people throughout the Valley of the Sun.
