National Faith In Action Day

Join with thousands of churches around the world who are putting their Faith in Action – Sunday, October 10, 2010

Faith in Action is embraced by churches year-round, but many choose to participate on National Faith in Action Day.

A church reaching out to its neighbors can have a transformational and lasting impact. Examples of this abound throughout the country as churches choose to not just go to church, but instead be the church. If one church can make a substantial difference, imagine the possibilities if multiple churches worked together for the benefit of the community!  The resources and potential found in the Church is immeasurable—certainly greater than the sum of our parts—if only we are willing to join one another in service as the body of Christ.

We strongly encourage you to collaborate with other churches for the Faith in Action Service Day on October 10, 2009.

Benefits to Working Together with Other Churches:

  • Break down territorial and denominational barriers.
  • Harness the strengths and talents of different churches for a more complete and widespread impact.
  • Model Christ’s call of unity within the Church.
  • Develop a greater awareness of needs in the community as people from all different areas share what they see as the greatest need.
  • Create a support network between churches to help everyone do their part.
  • Build broad relationships between the community and its churches.
  • Expose the community to available churches near them to help people find a church home.
  • Recruit more people to help for increased impact.
  • Tangibly illustrate the power in the unified body in Christ to your congregation.
  • Develop partnerships that can support and strengthen one another all year.
